The First Presbyterian Church and Christ Episcopal Church of Cooperstown are partnering to present a public showing of the film Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch at the Christ Episcopal Church parish house, 69 Fair Street, Cooperstown. This award-winning documentary follows filmmaker Angela Sun on a journey to learn about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Along the way she meets scientists, researchers, and volunteers who shed light on the effects of our rabid plastic consumption. OCCA will have a display table featuring waste reduction tips and suggestions. Pot luck dinner at 5:15, bring a dish to pass, or arrive for the film, which begins at 6:15.
