The West Tisbury Free Public Library will screen the documentary One Big Home on March 30 at 3pm. This film, twelve years in the making, follows one carpenter's journey to understand the trend toward giant houses. When he feels complicit in wrecking the place he calls home, Thomas Bena takes off his tool belt and picks up a camera. Bumping up against angry homeowners and builders who look the other way, he works with his community and attempts to pass a new bylaw to limit house size.

After the viewing of the documentary, there will be a question-and-answer period with the film's director Thomas Bena, in addition to film subjects Jessica Roddy and Steve Bernier.

The documentary One Big Home will be screened on April 6 at 3pm. This film explores how the filmmaker turned carpenter, Thomas Bena, decided to take a stand against gentrification and the giant homes being built in Martha's Vineyard. Bumping up against angry homeowners and builders who look the other way, Bena works with his community and attempts to pass a new bylaw to limit house size.
